My camera is a Canon 70D. I always shoot RAW rather than JPEG for optimal detail and color retention. The information from the camera to my graphics card is not compressed and I am able to capture higher quality images. I process RAW files in Lightroom and Photoshop and convert them to JPEG files when the photograph is satisfactory to me.
Portrait photography is best in the early morning and late afternoon. I avoid direct, overhead light from the sun. Typically, a portrait session lasts approximately two and a half hours. I am happy to travel to locations within a 30 minute radius of Yarmouth Maine. Other distances will require a stipend for gasoline. Keep in mind, that all outdoor portrait photography is weather dependent. I will always reschedule in the event of inclement weather. Inclement weather includes rain, snow, thunderstorms and rainy drizzly days. Inclement weather does not include cloudy or foggy days.
